It is said in the one discourse Sutta that the Buddha had mastered up to the seventh psychic stage i.e. up to the psychic stage belonging to the world of formlessness under the ascetic and the eighth i.e. the fourth psychic stage belonging to the world of formlessness under the ascetic.

这就是说在佛经的一段论述之中（圣求经Ariyapariyesana），佛陀已掌握到第七心理阶段，即在禁欲的之下的无色界的心理阶段而第八即在禁欲的条件下的第四个心理阶段是属于无色界的。

It was for a long time considered to be identical with Maagadhii, the Prakrit of Magadha, where the Buddha spent most of his life and teaching career. This ancient region is situated in modern Indian state of Bihar, in North-Eastern India.

然而，在严格的他的追随者的生活，严重的简单，佛陀没有去的极端狂热的特点，使许多婆罗门修行。

"For a parallel to the lesson of atomic theory regarding the limited applicability of such customary idealisations, we must in fact turn to quite other branches of science, such as psychology, or even to that kind of epistemological problems with which already thinkers like Buddha and Lao Tzu have been confronted, when trying to harmonize our position as spectators and actors in the great drama of existence."

原子理论给我们的教训是，由日常生活而得来的世界观，其可应用性颇为局限。因此，为使我们在存在这个大舞台上作为演员又作为观众的角色之间互相调和，我们必须求助于科学的其他分支，譬如心理学、甚或如佛陀和老子等哲人所曾面对的那类认识论的问题。
