There are five courses we can conclude from the investigation. Firstly, the dissemination for gymnastics is infirm. Secondly, gymnastics was deleted from the national physical exercise standard in 1982. Thirdly, neither teachers nor students want anybody to be injured. Fourthly, the only children's risk consciousness are decreasing day by day. Fifthly, parts of teachers disregard that the request of gymnastics has been changed and just follow rules docilely.

湖北省高校体育院系体育教育专业本科体操普修课教学中的主要劣势是教学质量的滑坡，其成因主要有：国家与高校体育院系对体操的宣传力度不够；1982年国家锻炼标准中除去体操内容；体操教师及学生求平安思想；独生子女冒险意识减弱；部分教师不顾社会对体操需求发生变化的事实，存在着"以不变应万变"的思想。
