The results implied that NO/ROS-induced ABA accumulation come from de novo synthesis pathway rather than degration of conjugated forms. These results suggested that NO may serve as a stress signal in the regulation of ABA-biosynthesis and ROS may serve as substrate in ABA biosynthesis or be involved in the regulation of enzyme activities.
