The details are summarized as follows: 1.γ-irradiation is extended to control the morphology of microcrystals. In our experiments, copper acetate aqueous solution, a simple reaction system, is used at room temperature to prepare pure hexapod-shaped Cu〓O microcrystals, in which a buffer pair is in-situ formed to adjust the acidity of the reaction solution.
