A new synthesizing route for ethyl-2-(p -ethoxyphenyl) propenoate preparation was proposed, in which, the ethyl-2-(p-ethoxyphenyl) propenoate was synthesized from phenetole via Friedel-Crafts reaction and Wittig G reaction.
