The results showed when the weight ratio of linseed oil to rosin was less than 1.2, the product with following characters could be prepared i.e. molecular weight (averageM 6000~10000, PDI less than 4, n-heptane tolerance in the range of 5~20mL/2g, softening point more than 110℃ and good solubility in mineral oil, vegetable oil, aromatic hydrocarbon, MEK and ethyl acetate and so on.
