The main body revolves around the fictionalization of the text, humanization and liveliness in portraying characters, the formless narrative, the formal of spiritual subject and the meaning of Dong Xi"s works to the contemporary fiction creating, exploring the characteristic of complete fiction in the artistic ontology, concentrating his attention on life content in portraying characters, the narrative pattern of the formless, the formal pursuit in spiritual subject, and its distinctiveness comparing to other "Late Generation""s works, what artistic elements he uses and how his texts that the whole human share are organized by using these artistic elements.

正文主要围绕小说文本的虚构化，人物塑造的人本化、生命化，形而下的叙事，形而上的精神主题和东西的小说艺术对当代小说创作的意义五个问题，探讨了东西小说在小说艺术本体论上的全虚构特性；在人物形象塑造上的生命含量的倾注；在叙事层面上的形而下形态；在作品精神主题上的形而上诉求以及东西的小说文本在晚生代作家中的独特性、它采用了哪些艺术元素以及如何把这些艺术元素组织成一种全人类所"共享"的文本等问题。

This thesis aims at the theme of Yu Hua's novels via three sections: the first section analyses the cause of Yu Hua's novels' theme: tribulation from western culture, his hometown specialty, his childhood, and the totential memory of Institutional Revolution; the second section focuses on his enquiry of life and survival through violence and death,warmth and sorrow,which shows his theme of tribulation and its significance;the third section discoers the deep implication of Yuhua's novels theme from setting up the real mentality,suppassing the prior writings and exploring the meaning of life.

本文对余华小说创作主题的考察分三部分进行：第一部分分析余华小说苦难主题形成的原因：西方文化的滋润、童年生活的经验及早年工作的经历、文革的潜在记忆；第二部分通过文本解读，剖析作家在先锋立场下对人生与生存问题的拷问，分别从暴力与死亡、温情与悲悯两个方面，揭示余华小说的苦难主题及其意义；第三部分从构建精神的真实、超越先锋的写作以及生存意义的探寻等方面考察余华小说苦难主题的深层意蕴。

第一部分，界定官场小说的内涵，并对它的历史发展，对其在当下繁荣的原因做初步的探析；第二部分，从官场小说对官场腐败、官员内心世界和社会文化心理等方面的揭示考察其主题构成；第三部分，从人物形象、叙事方式(叙事视角、叙事结构、反讽叙事、叙事话语)等分析官场小说的艺术表现特征，指出官场小说不仅塑造了性格鲜明的正面人物，也真实刻画了具有复杂人性的反面角色，更重要的是展现了官场灰色人物的庸俗生存，并通过两类不同类型小说的对比，揭示其各自不同的叙事特征；第四部分，充分肯定官场小说的现实主义价值，及其对前期官场小说的超越，并从小说艺术角度指出其存在的严重不足：小说对现实的屈从束缚了作品的艺术想象力，使小说缺乏深厚的思想内蕴；人物形象也显得单薄，无法产生感人的艺术魅力；叙事的模式化也大大降低了作品的艺术品位。
