In an attempt to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Healon in trabeculectomy, 20 eyes with Healon and 20 eyes without Healon injection after trabeculectomy are compared. Trabeculectomy using Healon will not induce transient rise of intraocular pressure. By filling the anterior chamber with Healon, a tamponing effect results which will maintain a deep chamber and reduce complications such as flat anterior chamber, choroidal detachment and striate keratopathy in the early postoperative period. 为了评估Healen在小梁切除术中之疗效及安全性，选20位接受小梁切除术者，同时注射Healon於前房为实验对象，另20位接受传统小梁切除术为对照组，发现使用Healon并不会引起一过性眼压上升的现象，Healon注入前房，产生填塞作用，最大的好处是可以维持前房深度，减少术后合并症如前房消失，脉络膜剥离及角膜水肿等，然长期追踪，对於降眼压的幅度，不因使用Healon而可达到低眼压状态，也不会减少结合膜瘢痕化而促进房水引流，然Healon系一无毒，无炎性，无抗原性高黏稠性的物质，不因使用而发生炎性反应，同时有保护角膜内层细胞的功能。

The experimental results indicates that the optimum pH range was 1.60~2.20, and the optimum H2O2 concentration was 10.0 mmol/L. When the concentration of fuchsin basic was low, the degradation followed first-order kinetics, but when it was high, the degradation could be fitted by zero-order kinetics. The absorbtion of fuchsin basic at 543 nm disappeared quickly, while the absorbtion of intermediates formed during the course of fuchsin basic dagradation at 298 nm vanished slowly.

The influences of environmental factors on the abiotic methylation were studied. The biggest production of methylmercury was found after 2 days of incubation in presence of FA. The rate of production of methylmercury depends upon temperature. In presence of FA from sediment, the biggest production of methylmercury was found under 40℃. In presence of FA from soil, production rate increases with temperature. The biggest production of methylmercury was found when solution pH was 2 and 4 in presence of FA from sediment and soil, respectively. Increase in concentrations of inorganic mercury and FA solution causes an increase in the production of methylmercury. Under irradiation with ultraviolet ray, blacklight lamp as well as natural light, methylation is stimulated, especial for irradiation of ultraviolet light.

The effect of the tool composition on the friction and wear behavior was investigated,and the morphologies of the rake face and rear face of the tool cutting the steel in air and nitrogen were observed on a scanning electron microscope. It was found that the Al_2O_3/TiB_2 tool was dominated by adhesive and abrasive wear in low speed dry cutting; while in high speed dry cutting,the tool was characterized by oxidation wear. An oxide layer of TiO_2 was formed by way of the oxidation of the reinforcing agent TiB_2 at a very much high cutting temperature, which contributed to greatly reducing the friction coefficient and increasing the antiwear life of the tool.Such a friction-reducing and antiwear behavior of the oxide layer was enhanced with increasing content of TiB_2 in the tool composite. However,the tool showed a relatively poorer wear resistance in N_2 than in air, because N_2 acted to retard the oxidation of the TiB_2 and the formation of the oxide layer on the tool rake face.
