The Tertiary basaltic rocks are discontiously distributed from the west to the northeast of Sudan, in the Sahara Desert, overlying the Cretaceous clastic rocks. The authors of this paper found a kind of columnar jointing in the Cretaceous clastic rocks in the Mellit area, western Sudan.

Results: The distances from the root of columella nasi to the inforior pole of sphenoidal sinus aperture and the sphenopalatine foramen were (60.40±3.21,58.10-72.76) mm and (62.14±1.93,59.50-73.40) mm, respectively.

Aminobutyric acid in tea was extracted, isolated and determined. Water achieve a better effect than ethanol in extracting γ-aminobutyric acid, and γ-aminobutyric acid content was enhanced by 20%; 732 positive ion resin columns (2.5×50cm) was used to isolate, citric acid and ammonia water were used as elutes, based on pH linear gradient. Results indicated that γ-aminobutyric acid inelute could reach 39%; thin layer scanner could measure the content of γ-aminobutyric acid.

For home drinking water machines, becteria propagated on filter materials are a important problem for human health. The injurant becteria are separated from different sites of home drinking water machines. The antibacterial molecular sieve is preparated by modified technology, which sterilization rate is near 100%, and which life is long. The antibacterial mechanism and Copper ion function is discussed.

针对家用纯水机中活性炭滤柱中易繁殖细菌的问题，通过实验从纯水机的不同部位分离出有害菌种；利用沸石分子筛及其改性技术，制备出能有效除菌的材料；实验结果显示，细菌去除率接近100％，而且具有相当长的使用寿命。
