Through the deep-going investigation and superficial analysis to the grotesque phenomenon in some literature works of the world,the paper expounds that grotesqueness is an unfixed notion with consistent changes and provides an initial summary and analysis on the characteristics of aesthetic judgment on grotcsqueness,including the formation principles of abnormality,astonishment mixed with fear and comicality,and the duality of grotesqueness.
