School a hundred years, campus after several changes, the school were several changes of 10, always for the elite Saibei earth. Hebei Province in 1960 was listed as the first batch of 17 schools to run one of the focus. In 1963 and Guo Moruo wrote the school's name for the school. In 1978 the school was again identified as the focus of secondary schools in Hebei Province, one of the first run.

建校百多年来，校址几经变迁，校名十数次更迭，始终为塞北大地名校。1960年被列为河北省十七所第一批办好的重点中学之一。1963年，郭沫若先生为学校题写了校名。1978年学校再次被确定为河北省首批办好的重点中学之一。
