In this paper, RIEMS(Regional Environment Integrated Modeling System)designed by TEA-RC(START Regional Center for Temperate East Asia)was used to run a 10-year simulation in East Asia to analyze and assess the statistical behavior of RIEMS by the means of analyzing mean climate, extreme events and inter-annual variability. NCEP reanalysis data are used as driving fields.

Abstract〕by analyzing the objective environment changes of the union catalogue databases, and taking the cas?union catalogue database as an example, this paper discusses utilizing the new developed cataloging theory and new technical measures to merge the cas?union catalogue database into customer's application scenes, and constructs the resource discovery and delivery supported union catalogue database in an open environment used as the 'middle switching layer'.

摘要〕分析联合目录数据库所面临的客观环境的变化，包括用户信息查找行为的变化、资源出版模式的变化、资源建设模式的变化，并以中国科学院联合目录数据库为例，探讨如何利用最新编目理论和技术手段，将中国科学院联合目录数据库纳入到用户使用情景中，构建一个在开放环境中，作为&中间转换层&支持信息资源发现和传递的联合目录数据库。
