The SSTA of February and August in 1998 had two peaks, while the wind speed reached its maximum minus anomalies in January and August. In order to find the circulation anomaly in the South China Sea, the circulation of 19952000 had been calculated by the ECOM hydrodynamic numerical model. The elevation and circulation of January and August in 1998 indicated that there were great anomaly of elevation and circulation after this El Nio event.(1)In January, the whole South China Sea had positive sea level anomaly and anticyclonic velocity anomaly, so the cyclonic circulation was weaker than normal.(2) In August, the South China Sea had positive sea level anomaly, especially stronger in the east of Vietnam, and cyclonic velocity anomaly in south, anticyclonic velocity in north, especially strong in the east of Vietnam. So the cyclonic gyre in the north and the anticyclonic gyre in the south were both weaker than normal, and an anticyclonic gyre appeared in the east of Vietnam.

Summing up these results, we think that the Yinmawanshan batholith came from the mixing, the fractional crystallization and the crust contamination of the enriched lithospheric mantle and the low crust magma.3、the time relationship between the Yinmawanshan batholith' formation and the tectonic extension The field observation and petrology have clearly showed that the Yinmawanshan batholith intruded in the forming period of the Liaonan metamorphic core complex, so this provided direct geological evidence to the viewpoint that the early Cretaceous magamatism of the eastern China developed in the extensionally tectonic setting.

P wave velocity structure in the crust of the Yellow Sea region was inverted by using P wave arrival data from the earthquakes recorded by Chinese, Korea and ISC stations. Taken together with gravity anomaly and fault system, Pn velocity and anisotropy, we analyzed the relation of various geophysical anomalies and the tectonic difference in the western and eastern Yellow Sea. This work provided further information for locating the eastern Yellow Sea fault zone and the collision boundary between the Sino-Korea and Yangtze blocks.
