Based on the seismic data obtained in deepwater area of northern South China Sea in recent years, the development of ancient Miocene reef was analyzed. The seismographic result shows typical reef feature in the Xisha uplift, such as the mound, high amplitude, middle frequency, middle continuity, and chaotic reflection.
