Based on the observation of atomic force microscopy, the etching morphology of faces and sections with different crystallographic significance on α-quartz has been studied. The etching morphology on the natural crystal faces hexagonal prism faces (1010 and 01(average10, rhombohedron positive form face 10(average11, rhombohedron negative form face 01(average11 and the sections between any of the two crystal faces has been observed. It is shown that the etching pit on the same simple form has the same shape, while the orientation of the etching pits can be different. Different simple forms have different shapes of etching pits and the shapes of etching pits on positive form and negative form of the same simple form are also different.

Firstly, wettability and adhesive properties of the major soy protein components conglycinin (7S) and glycinin (11S) after urea modification were characterized. Modified 7S and 11S soy proteins were evaluated for gluing strength with pine, walnut, and cherry plywood and for wettability using a bubble shape analyzer. The molecular structure change was studied by chemical analysis, DSC and Rheometer. The results showed that different adhesives had varying degrees of wettability on the wood specimens.

Analytical formulae are presented for the first time to describe the shift in the resonance wavelength of LPG in response to etching of the fiber cladding or a change in the external refractive index. The accuracy of the formula is confirmed by comparision with numerical simulations and experimental results. We demonstrated that the resonance wavelengths of an etched LPG are more sensitive refractive index than those of an unetched grating. The bending properties of long period fiber grating written in different type fiber are studied experimentally. The transmission peaks and the central wavelength of LPG change with the bending of the fiber. A new peak appears at the shorter wavelength when the fiber is being bent. The changes of the peaks are different for different photosensitive fiber. Those properties have broad application foreground in fiber sensors and tunable filters.

Based on analyzing the characteristics of Rear End design and the associated characteristics with Chain Stay and Seat Stay, different design methods are analyzed in detail, and rapidly assembling of Rear End, Chain Stay and Seat Stay is achieved by using the method of combining top-down-assembly with down-top-assembly method. Based on analyzing special technologies and UDF characteristics, the repeated using of different sectional shapes by using UDF technology on the tube section design is also achieved, and this will greatly shorten the time spent on fixing the dimensions and orientations on sketches.
