DsRNA technology was discovered recently, and many studies demonstrated that it could suppress genes more effectively than antisense technology. Inverted repeats of 800 bp TCS cDNA fragments sandwiching a 400 bp GUS gene fragment was inserted into the binary vector pBI121 and placed under the control of 35S promoter, forming a dsRNA expression vector.
