We also compared the plasma-treated ODT surface with that after AAc-grafting. Using similar method to immobilize collagen in wet cell system, both surfaces were capable to have collagen immobilized. Nevertheless, their immobilized quantities were significantly different. The most pronounced processes are the participation of oxygen to the plasma-treated ODT surface, the generated oxidative groups, particularly the limited amount of O=C-OH group, are likely to bind with protein molecules.

In theory, firstly, the numerical simulation methods, such as the boundary element method, the finite difference method and the finite element method, were utilized to calculate the distribution of electric field intensity and potential of the electron-gun system, the focusing system and the whole equipment, respectively. Then, the trajectories of the electron-beam were traced by using of the Runge-Kutta method and the Monte-Carlo method associatively. The point spread function was also calculated.

According to these results, the electroreduction mechanism of the substituted aryl nitro-compounds was studied in detail.
