Agmatine is a novel neurotransmitter and/or neuromodulator, which is the endogenic ligand of the imidazoline receptors.

METHODS: Eighty guinea pigs were randomized into control group, model group, salbutamol treated group and Maxin liquid treated group. Asthma model s were established by ovalhumin.
