为此，本文把现代汉语动词按其跟相关语义成分的依存关系首先分为动作动词、致使动词、心理动词、性状动词、关系动词5大类，以确定各主事动元的类别；第二层级按动核所带动元的数量，对各类动词进行下位分类，分别得出一元动词、二元动词、三元动词，以显示动核所带动元的数量：第三层级按动核所带动元的性质和数量把现代汉语动词分为24个基本类，以确定动元即必有语义成分的基本类别和数量。
