These entities are either not recognized as nations or unable to meet the definitions as a nation. Besides, there are other similar entities, such as Hong Kong, Macaw, Guan, Porto Rico, other countries colonies and special districts. Whether these territorial entities can participate in international organizations or treaties depends on different applications and explanations of laws.
