Based on the shell element degraded from the continuous body, concrete and configured steels are modeled by the layered shell element, and the vertical steels burdened with added loads are completed by the combined shell element. Then, with the smeared crack model, associated flow rule and Madrid hardening model, the material nonlinearity of the concrete is depicted. The stiffness matrix of nonlinear thin-walled shell element is deduced. As for RC multi-T girders subjected to transverse loads, the properties, such as crack expanding and steel yielding, are studied.

Corbicula fluminea (Müller 1774) was bred in the laboratory and two shell samples (shell height, A=13 mm, B=9 mm) were selected to determine the carbon isotopic composition of the increment shells (aragonite, CaCO3) and the host water. The results indicate that the carbon isotopic compositions of the two shells increased as the δ^13 C values of the host water increased from -5.24‰ to 1.41‰, showing the influence of δ^13C values on the shell carbon isotopes.δ^13C value ranges from -4.76% to -2.09% and δ^13 C from -8.49% to -2.89%. The δ^13 C values of shells A and B are both more negative than the predicted equilibrium ones, indicating that the shell had used the metabolic CO2 rich in 12C during their growth process.

This paper examines the soil characteristic and liquefaction degree of hard shell seams at the subaqueous delta of the Yellow River. Four typical areas were chosen for measuring, testing and studying. The hard shell seam strength was measured by in-situ Proctor penetrometer. Undisturbed soil sample of 1 m long was excavated for laboratory soil property test. Sledge hammers were dropped down freely to hit the load board to simulate the wave force acted on the hard shell seam. The excess pore pressure and strength variation were observed. The liquefaction depth of the hard shell seams at four study areas under different wave storms were calculated by theory.
