Based on the plasto-elastic bounding surface model, the dynamic characters of typical clay and silt were studied through several types of laboratory dynamic tests. The laser image recognition method based on neural network theory are obtained. The associated hardware and computer software for analysis of the shape characteristics are developed. The shape characteristics of typical particles such as fire smoke particle and carborundum are studied by using such method. The results of this project are useful to develop the new reliable, accurate and rapid experimental diagnoses technology.
