Thermoanaerobacter tengcongensis is a rod-shaped, Gram-negative, anaerobic eubacterium that was isolated from a fresh water hot spring in Tengchong, China. Using a"whole-genome-shotgun"method, we sequenced its 2, 689, 445-bp genome from an isolate, MB4〓(Genbank Accession Number AE008691). The genome encodes 2, 588 predicted coding sequences . Based on the investigated data in the west sea area of continental shelf of the East China Sea (25°30'-33°30'N, 128°00'E) from 1994 to 1996 and from 2004 to 2006, the quantity distribution and growth characteristics of Loligo edulis was studied.
