The results show that SO2 gas itself does not influence the growth of ZY-1, however, when the SO2 concentration is higher than 50×10^(-6), ZY-1 growth rate and its CO2 fixation rate are all lowered and the pH of the medium is decreased, so measures must be taken to desulphurize or control pH of medium temporality. The presence of NO with concentrations of lower than 300×10^(-6)did not influence the growth of ZY-1 and its CO2 fixation, NO absorbed in the medium is utilized as a nitrogen source. The influence of dissolved soot dust on ZY-1 growth and its CO2 fixation could be ignored once the soot dust in the stack gases was disposed by the original method.

The results from electron micrographic analysis show that soot oxidation is influenced by aggregation and agglomeration of soot particulates, at the same time, the crystallograms show that the previous soot particle is non-crystal carbon, but in the latter conbustion period, a very small amount of crystal soot with unstable lattice at relatively higher flame temperature is formed. The crystallization happens greatly in period of combustion when temperature is relatively lower. The smoke particulates consist of crystal carbon similar to chaoite crystal latice and noncrystal carbon.

The results show that the radiative properties of randomly distributed soot aggregates for a given fractal dimension are complex functions of the monomer diameters, the number of monomers in the aggregates,and the refractive index; For a small value of the monomer diameters, the absorption cross section of soot aggregates tends to be relatively constant when the fractal dimension is small but increases rapidly when the fractal dimension exceeds two. However, a monotonical reduction in light absorption with the increase of the fractal dimension is observed for soot aggregates with sufficiently large monomer diameters, number of monomers,and refractive index. The scattering cross section , extinction cross section and single-scattering albedo increase monotonically with the increase of the fractal dimension. Overall, the results for soot aggregates differ profoundly from those calculated for the equivalent spherical particles, and the discrepancies between them will change small with the increase of the fractal dimension.
