Methods seventy-two 15-week-old sd rats were divided into six groups,included control group and five ovariectomized model groups.the model groups were fed with different-dose lycopene[10,15,20 mg/] for 12weeks.then related indexes including length bone mineral density,bone mineral,serum estradiol,sertum alp and uterus index were analyzed.results compared with model group,three different dose groups and nilestriol[1.05mg/] group showed increased bone mineral density,bone mineral,serum estradiol and uterus index,but decreased serum alp (p.05).conclusion as a female sex hormone-like component,lycopene may ameliorate the bone quality and inhibit osteoporosis in ovariectomized rat.

Methods:The treatment of 18 cases with bone cysts was reviewed,which there were treated from January 2004 to February 2005. There were12 males and 6 females with an average age of 13 years?old. The bone cysts were located in the proximal humerus(n=9),proximal femur(n=4),proximal tibia(n=1),distal tibia(n=1),proximal ulna(n=1),distal ulna(n=1),and distal radius(n=1).Under fluoroscopy, two fine bone marrow biopsy needls pierced the bone cysts from the top and the bottom of the cyst respectively.The intracystic fluid was drawn out,the cyst cavity was irrigated and then the tissue engineering complexation of autologous red bone marrow and methylprednisolone with sodium hyaluronate was injected in percutaneously.

Micronucleus test results exhibited that significant differences in micronuclear rates were determined between 0.4 mL bone cement and 0.4 mL microsphere-coated bone cement groups and negative control group, but no significant difference was detected among other groups. This revealed that this microsphere-coated bone cement leaching liquor did not show significant cell heredity toxic effects. Nevertheless, microsphere-coated bone cement in the high concentration and high dosage groups exhibited low toxic effects, mainly showing increased hemolysis rate and micronuclear rate. Thus, it was necessary to control the dosage and concentration of microsphere-coated bone cement.
