The contents of this dissertation are involved in studies on quasi steady-state condition of a slow speed-varying rotor system, gain-scheduling control of a quasi steady-state rotor active balancing system, adaptive control of active balancing for a fast speed-varying rotor with actuator time delay and adaptive control of active balancing for a fast speed-varying rotor with actuator saturation. The rotors to be studied include a Jeffcott rotor, a Jeffcott rotor with anisotropic bearings, a flexible rotor with single collocated balancing plane (actuator plane and measuring plane are almost the same one) and a flexible rotor with multiple collocated balancing planes.

Introduction is made to the rotor spinning frame R40 based on technology of spinning box SC-R by Sussen regarding the advantages up to the world advanced level. Conclusion is made that both the auto and semi-auto rotor spinning frame BT series by Rioter produces quality yarn, with good performance-price ratio, thus leading the semi-auto rotor spinning frame. Sampling the rotor spinning BT923, analysis is done to the tech-edges. Conclusion is made that rotor spinning frame is a new mature spinning technology. It is recommended for China's selection for graded yarn production, yet performance-price is key to its competitiveness.

The bifurcation and chaos behavior of impact and rubbing fault rotor system caused by the parameters of nonlinear rigidity, rotor rotating speed, eccentric mass is analyzed, in the numerical value analysis method. The bifurcation diagrams, maximum Lyapunov exponent diagrams, Poincaré maps, phase plane portraits, trajectories of journal center, time-history curve, amplitude spectra diagrams of the rotor motion are used. The convert and evolution course of periodical response, quasi-periodical response, double-periodical bifurcation, chaos of the system response is analyzed.(3). It is deduced that the general differential equation of bending-torsional-pendular coupling vibration about rotor with the gyroscopic moment. On the basis of this equation, the general differential equations of coupled bending, torsional and pendular nonlinear vibration about rotor with unbalance character and rubbing character are deduced.

The calculation results shows that ,(1) when the rotor rotates at the working speed, a local regurgitant whirlpool that is rightabout to the rotor"s rotating direction appears in the classifying region, which makes the separated granules come back to the outside of the classification district and influences the classification efficiency of the turbine classifier;(2) in the condition of a low rotating speed of turbo rotor, ultrafine particles can follow the gas phase by and large, but when the rotating speed increases, a phenomenon of velocity slippage between two phases appears evidently;(3) A operating parameter, air flow rate is so important that can directly influence the stability of flow field in classifying chamber, the bigger the air flowrate is , the steadier the flow field is;(4) Compared with straight blades, the new shape of blades with backward crooked elbow are helpful to improve the stability of flow field and form whole stream easily, also beneficial to advance the classification accuracy and classification efficiency;(5) The motion trace of particles are very complicated when the turbo rotor rotates at a high speed, the constant bounce of the particles appear between the blades and the coarse particles are even bounce back from the inlet, only the finer can pass through the classification area from the oulet;(6) Along with the increase of the rotor"s rotating speed, radiah axial and tangential velocity all begain to fluctuate repetitively like sine-wave, the smaller the particles are, the more violently they fluctuates.

Results indicate that radial distance of the bushing from the rotor center and the radius of the hemispherical bushing significantly affect wear rate,and minimzing both two values will result in lowest wear for micro-rotor systems in MEMS.However,it is noted that the bearing radius sets a lower limit on the hemispherical bushing radius since the bushings are located beyond the rotor inner radius.It is desirable to reduce their effects on friction and wear on micro-rotors by regulating the radius of the bushing and the radial distance of the bushing from the rotor center within permissive range of micro-fabrication.Severe wear exists with increasing applied load and rotating speed of the rotor.Stress distributions in the contact region are different from Hertz solutions due to the convergence stresses apearing on the uncontinuous curvature line and the contact pressures display symmetrical parabola in the contact region.

The rub-impact between rotor and stator often occurs because the rotor shaft stiffness decreases following the occurrence of the crack in the rotor shaft, and thus the coupling fault with rub-impact and crack is hackneyed fault type. Based on the nonlinear dynamical model of the cracked rotor-bearing system with rub-impact, the stability of the periodic motion and instability way were studied in unbalance-rotating speed plane and rotor/stator clearance- rotating speed plane and crack depth- rotating speed plane, and the main results were validated by the experiment.
