In this paper, we present a class of equation model for image denoising and edge enhancement. The model is based on robust statistics error norm and variational theory. By analysing the parameters of the equation and designing the methods of module partitions, the numerical experiments reach a good result and the parallel efficiency has been improved remarkably with finite difference method.

By using techniques from robust statistics, we obtain the approximations of the underlying surfaces. This leads to a conceptually good local patch with precise geometry properties, and as a result, the influence of noises is reduced. In addition, we also present a diffusion method to smooth the geometry properties, including principle curvatures and Frenet frame. The method ensures that the surfaces are smooth in the curvature space, and maintain the details, features and optimize the normals. The results show that, even in a high level noise situation, our algorithm can remove noise effectively, and at the same time keep the details of the model.

In this paper,two nonlinear anisotropic diffusion filtering methods are presented and they are based on the multispectral anisotropic diffusion models proposed by Pope and Acton.We build a couple of new diffusion coefficients in partial derivative equation based on Tukey's biweight estimator error norm by recurring to the relationship between robust statistics and anisotropic diffusion incorporated with the nonlinear time-dependent cooling technique for gradient threshold.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate various data processing methods, including logarithmic transformation, robust statistics, excluding outliers and Box-Cox transformation for evaluating soil total P content with normal distribution. The result showed that Box-Cox transformation was applied in order to achieve normality in the data set and to dampen the effect of outliers. Geostatistical analyses were carried out, including calculation of experimental variograms and model fitting. The best theoretical model for semivariogram of soil total P were spherical model.
