In the coating, the nodular defect was observed to worsen severely the properties. For testing under oxidation condition, the nodular defect results in the internal oxidation of Al. No single Al oxide scale may be formed at 1100℃ owing to consumption of Al. Under hot corrosion, it becomes as short-path for diffusion of S through the coating, thus sulphuring the coating together with the substrate. During thermal shock testing, it may act as the source of cracking, and moreover, if cyclic stress applied, the cracks propagate toward the substrate, the thermal fatigue properties of coating will be worsened.

In order to unsterdand the properties of rebound and recompression, this study carried out oedometer tests for six soft clays with three surcharge ratios to simulate surcharging. The viscosity properties of break flour, middling flour, and oat flour (mixture of break flour and middling flour with nature milling ratio) were investigated. The results showed that after high-temperature treatment, the average gelatinization temperature of break flour, middling flour and oat flour decreased significantly, which were lower than that of oat without high-temperature treatment. Their peak viscosity, final viscosity and hold viscosity increased both under air-heating (140℃, 155℃) and far-infrared heating (200℃), compared with non-treated samples. With the temperature of high-temperature effects treatment increasing gradually, their viscosity properties decreased.
