The results revealed that all four kinds of allogeneic implants activated specific cellular and humoral immune responses, most notably in fresh bone group, the AAA, BMG and DBM inhibited the proliferation of the lymphocytes in vitro and BMG had the most powerful inhibiting action, allogeneic AAA, BMG and DBM might induce heterotopic osteogenesis in vivo, however, there were obvious difference in ALP and histomorphometry between allografts and isografts.

Using a model of the muscle pouch of bone graft, the effects of the systemic and local administration of IL-4 plus IL-10 on bone xenograft rejection were studied through the determination of lymphocyte responses from the mixed lymphocyte culture , subsets of lymphocyte, cytokines and histology in 1, 2, 4, and 6 weeks after implantation.
