GHz ridge-loaded helical groove slow wave structure with a 20kV electron beam are given and the investigations of the effect of the ridge dimensions and electron beam parameters on the small signal gain are carried out. It is indicated from the calculation results that this type of structure is suitable for use as s SWS of high power, high gain but narrow passband millimeter TWT, of which the 3dB gain bandwidth is 3.4%. In order to increase the bandwidth, the reduction of the ridge gap or the increase of the electron beam current in an allowable range may be useful.

Firstly, we investigate the influence of the hole injection layer on the performance of the OLED. Evidence shows that m-MTDATA exhibits a dense film structure and fine surface morphology, leading to easy hole migration. Furthermore, a low-voltage driving of OLEDs has been achieved by doping 4F-TCNQ into m-MTDATA layer. Secondly, we obtain a highly efficient OLED by using a new oxidiazoles, an efficient electron-transporting molecular materials. Finally, we have realized the efficient electron injection and transport in organic light-emitting diodes using an electron-transport layer composed of BPhen with Liq co-deposited layer. With this cohost strategy, we improve the power efficiency by~21 % while reduce the driving voltage by~13%.

This paper introduces the studies of the ultra-short Thomson scattering X-ray source at the accelerator laboratory of Tsinghua University in recent years. Properties such as the photon yield,the pulse length and time jitter of the produced photon pulse were predicted theoretically from the parameters of the electron bunch and the laser pulse,and the scattering angle. Preliminary experiments were successfully carried out with a 16 MeV backward-traveling-wave accelerator and the ns-Q switched laser provided by China Academy of Engineering Physics. This paper also introduces the 1.6-cell electron gun that was fabricated on site and the experiment with high RF power including the measurement of the electron bunche parameters. Based on these,we have designed an X-ray source,which is now under construction.

The formation mechanism of the absolute instability and gyrotron backward wave oscillations is analyzed, and the methods to suppress the parasitical modes are discussed.The nonlinear theory model of gyro-TWT is consummated by considering the influence of tapered magnetic field and waveguide radius, electron velocity spread, and waveguide loss on electron beam-wave interaction. The large-signal characteristic of gyro-TWT, such as launching loss and absolute instability, are also analyzed in detail. This work establishes the foundation for the development of a gyro-TWT amplifier.
