This paper focuses on the stability study of Rhizopus oryzae IFO4697 when used for the methanolysis of renewable oils for biodiesel production. The results showed that water content was important for achieving high catalytic activity and good stability of the biocatalyst. The optimum water content was found to be 5%-15%. Both particle size and desiccation methods showed no obvious effect on the stability of the biocatalyst. With GA cross-linking pretreatment, the stability of the biocatalyst could be improved significantly. When Rhizopus oryzae IFO4697 repeatedly used for next batch reaction, direct vacuum filtration was found to be a good way for the maintenance of good stability of the biocatalyst.

In the paper, the multidentate carboxylic acid ligands were used to combine with Cd, resulting in the three dimensional MOCPs single crystals—C12H16CdN2O8, with a low temperature hydrothermal synthesis method. The sample was characterized with IR spectra to affirm the organic groups in the frameworks, single-crystal X-ray diffraction to determine the crystal structure and composition of the frameworks, N2 adsorption isotherms at low temperature to measure the specific surface area and pore size distribution, and with TGA/DGA analysis to scale the thermal stability. Furthermore, the dissolution property and the photocatalytic activity of MOCPs under the ultraviolet ray condition were explored.

Digital image process technique is used in pantographic faults monitoring, and a new algorithm named window-edge tracking is proposed in this paper. Based on the binary image of edges which is detected by Canny operator, a window in proper size is set to track the discontinuous edges to estimate the position of the lost edges. With this method continuous edges will be obtained, and continuous and smooth edges will be got after least-squares curve-fitting.
