To analyze the pseudo phenomena caused by migration velocity error, the paper firstly studied the depth error between post-stack migration and prestack migration caused by same velocity error, and found the depth error was only relative to velocity error and had no direct matter with methods of depth migration (post-stack migration or prestack migration). Then the paper did numerical simulation of a complex lenticular body model with wave-equation modeling and migration, and found that the velocity error could not only induce depth error, but also could change the modality of construction and the event of subjacent layers. Furthermore, it could change the frequency of reflective event. They are the pseudo phenomena caused by migration.

In the traditional AdaBoost method,the weights are updated based on the weak classifier's overall error rate, this article proposes one kind of the method which unifies the level of difference between the threshold and the feature value of the weak classifier with the weak classifier's overall error rate. Compared to the method which only based on the overall classification error rate to update the weights,this method can achieve higher detection rate while reduces the mistaken-detection rate.

In order to decrease the error rate of speech recognition, speaker adaptation techniques are often used to adjust speaker-dependent acoustic models. MLLR (Maximum Likelihood Linear Regression) and MAP are two of the most popular techniques in recent years. MLLR uses the technique of regression trees. It calculates the transform matrix for each leaf node of the tree. This makes it possible to use fewer sentences to decrease the error rate of HMM-based speech recognition. However, while we examined the recognition result, we found that although the overall error rate decreased, but the error rate of certain confusable phones was higher. In order to solve this problem, we propose the use MPE (Minimum Phone Error Discriminative Training) to solve this problem.

A new kind of algorithm, namely mesh searching method, which can be used to evaluate the roundness error, plane straightness error, space straightness error and cylindricity error, were put forward. With this algorithm, the shape error can be obtained by transferring the distance formula repeatedly and simple judgment without linearzing the distance formula (from point to point or point to line) and choosing optimal direction and step length.
