This thesis focused on tone poem "Also Sprach Zarathustra"(op.30) written by Germans composer Richard Strauss in later romantic period. Based on analyzing each basic structural elements within this work, the author summarized phenomenon of structure, discussed structural phenomenon and then achieved a grasp of structural thinking of entire works. By observing historical and cultural background of the era when Richard Strauss was in, Author explored the root of formation of musical structure of this thesis.
