In order to get further comprehension of lycopodium alkaloids, we studied the low-polar section of the alkaloids extraction of Huperzia serrata and 19 alkaloids were isolated by ways of silica gel, RP-18 and Sephadex LH-20 etc. All of their structures, including five new compounds and two known ones that were firstly found from this genus, were elucidated with the help of Mass, IR, NMR spectra and so on. The five new alkaloids (HS-07, HS-08, HS-09, HS-10 and HS-11) are belonged to lycopodine class. The other two ones that were new to this genus (HS-18 and HS-19) are belonged to miscellaneous group.
