Lin Zi Liang, in his childhood, was good at hand making works, such as, furniture, drawing, carving. In 1964, he enrolled in Shanghai Navigation College, afterwards, he studied in Da Lian Navigation College in 1980. From a sailor to a chief mate, he devoted his life to the ship. In 1987, Lin Zi Liang was deeply attracted by the picture of the bottled ship, when he was reading a 'Navigation' magazine from overseas. He started to make the model ship.
