This equation was tested by the renaturation processes of denatured egg white lysozyme in guanidine hydrochloride and urea solutions, with the results to show that when guanidine hydrochloride and urea concentrations were separately higher than 1.25 and 3.00 mol/L or separately lower than 1.00 and 3.00 mol/L, the refolding intermediates of egg white lysozymes were more easily aggregated to aggregate state or more easily renatured to native state, respectively.

Results were shown as followings:(1) Sodium selenite at 0~2.5 μmol/L significantly increased the antioxidative capacity of L-02 cells without having remarkable impact on SMMC-7721 cells;(2) Sodium selenite at concentrations above significantly increased telomerase activity, hTERT gene expression and telomere length of L-02 cells without significant impact on SMMC-7721 cells;(3) Sodium selenite at higher concentrations (larger than 5 μmol/L) resulted in peroxidation of L-02 cells, while scutellarin significantly counteracted its effect;(4) Selenium-rich amino acids from silkworm pupas in the range of 0.5~2.5 μmol/L Se significantly inhibited SMMC-7721 cell growth, induced apoptosis and cell cycle change, and the generation of reactive oxygen species. In contrast, sodium selenite and selenomethionine only had weak impact on them at the same concentrations;(5) A new selenium-containing protein was found from selenium-rich silkworm pupas, which is worthy to be study further;(6) An expression vector containing ansense RNA of hTERT gene were constructed and used to transfect SMMC-7721 cells. They were observed to inhibit hepatoma cells.

Japonicus.Nerve extraction substance of sea star and dithiothreitol has been reported to be effectively to induce oocyte maturation in sea cucumbers. In this study we tested their effects on oocyte maturation induction in sea cucumber A. japonicus. The results are as follows, oocyte of A. japonicus does not get mature spontaneously. Neither NES alone nor NES with follicle suspension can induce oocyte maturation. While DTT can prominently increase the percentages of germinal vesicle break down. When the concentration of DTT is between10-1 mol/L and 10-3 mol/L, the effect of maturation induction is more sufficient. When the concentration is about 10-2 mol/L, the percentage of GVBD can reach up to more than 90%.
