Considering the effect of the stress Lode angle or the third stress invariant, the author presents a new yield function and develops the Ohta-Sekiguchi's elasto-plastic model and Sekiguchi-Ohta's elasto-viscoplastic model to be a true three-dimensional model. This new model can take account of the effects of anisotropy induced by initial anisotropically consolidated state and the rotation of principal stress axes.

This modeling method is discussed from three aspects as follows. Taking the specific structure and design process of stamping die into account, the information of workpiece is composed in die product model as product feature. On the basis of above research works, a finite element model for column of the TH6350 high speed numerical control boring was built; the stiffness of the slide guide interface between the bed and column bottom and the constrain stiffness from lead screw were estimated by using experimental formula, to guarantee the rationality of the boundary condition of the FEM model; the week link of the column has been found by application of ANSYS software to FEM model analysis of the column, The result shows that the calculation data and test data are very consistent, therefore proved the properness of the FEM model.

However, in some special water areas the utilitization of StreeterPhelps model has some limitation as confirming reaeration coefficient often comes from tests in rivers with fast water flow speed with no consideration of wave effects. Furthermore, in practical research in Three Gorges Reservoir, the changing rule of COD appears abnormally. In some water areas far from pollution source, the value of COD changes with time, but does not follow the exponential attenuation rule. This phenomenon can not be explained by former modified StreeterPhelps model.
