The digital speciemen image of adult Helicoverpa armigera Hubner was acquired using a digital camera in an image acquisition environment.Several methods of image enhancement were covered, including linear smoothing, median filtering, linear greylevel transformation, contrast stretching, image inversing and histogram equalization.
