Traditional Ni coating and brush electroplated composite coating of nano-diamond/Ni are prepared respectively on 45(superscript #) steel matrix. A comparative study of the structure and performance of the two brush electroplated composite coatings is carried out by metallographic microscope, scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive spectrometry and X-ray diffraction.

以45钢为基体，制备了普通镍镀层和nano-diamond/Ni复合刷镀层，采用扫描电镜、能谱仪、X射线衍射仪和金相显微镜等设备对比研究了两种镀层的组织形貌。

Metallographic microscope and SEM results show that the surface and structure of nano-diamond/Ni brush electroplated composite coating are more smooth and compact than that of Ni coating. And on the surface of brush electroplated composite coatings, which appear to be the typical cluster crystals in a cauliflower shape, nano-diamonds are wrapped by nickel crystal grains.
