A novel anion exchange membrane with chitosan and quaternized chitosan has been prepared and the primary structure characterization has been performed by FTIR. The influence of various chitosan/quaternized chitosan compositions and the amounts of glutaraldehyde on properties of ion exchange membranes was discussed.
