ABSTRACT This dissertation is concerned with the production and the interpretation of textual meaning, the meaning of literary texts in particular, in such an interdisciplinary way that it involves semiotics, general linguistics, pragmatics, semantics, text semantics, literary criticism, poetics, structuralism and poststructuralism.
