The main conclusions and outcomes are as follows:(1) From the coupling mechanism of economy and environment, the author appraises the degree of sustainable development in Jinlin province. The results show that the development orientation of Changchun is prone to economic development, for Jilin it is environmental development and for Liaoyuan it is harmoniums development at low level.
