Primary estimation of the crust shortening is madeThe folded pre-Mesozoic strata were used to estimate crust shortening along the Harliknanshankou-Koumenzi, Shichengzi-Baishitou, and Qincheng-Xiaopu sections. Their shortening ratios are 16.2%, 19.8%, and 20.1% respectively corresponding crust shortening are 4.3, 9, and 11.3 km.

There are other three projects designed based on Synfuels China indirect CTL process. Yitai Ordos 160kt/a project was started up successful in Mar. 2009 and later was shut down for modification and readjustment. The project is scheduled to restart up in August for longer period operation. A F-T synthesis plant, the core unit of Lu'an Changzhi 160kt/a CTL project was commissioned on July 7th and output on-spec oil products on July 10th, and the following processing section is expected to be on-stream 1 week later to complete the whole line commissioning. Shenhua also plans to start up its Ordos 180kt/a indirect CTL project in September.
