The bovine Smad 9 gene codes 345 amino acids and shares 78.84%, 79.21%, 77.88% and 70.38% similarity in amino acid sequences with human, mouse, rat and jungle fowl respectively. The bovine Smad 9 had no signal peptide and transmembrane helix.
