In the combined treatment of the craniopharyngiomas, it is very important to prevent the irradiation injury of the surrounding structures such as the optic nerve, chiasm, hypothalamus and vascular structures. In those structures, the optic nerve and chiasm are the most sensitive ones to the irradiation, and their ability to bear the irradiation is about 9 to 12 Gy. So if the irradiation dose is lower than 9Gy, the treatment will be safe. We have not found any report about the bearability and side effect of the hypothalamus related to the gamma knife radiosurgery.

Aim To investigate the production and removal of cyclobutane pyrimidine diners after UVB irradiation and the effect of baikal skullcap root, szechwan lovge rhizome and epigallocatechingallate on the irradiation damage in HaCaT cells, and finally, to clarify the probable regulatory mechanisms. Methods HaCaT cells were cultured in RMPI-1640 medium with 10% fetal bovine serum. The time and dosage of UVB irradiation were conducted according to the experimental design. Tested medicines were added into the medium before or after UVB irradiation.

The results showed that the irradiation treatment in the dose of 2.0-8.0kGy is not significantly effective to the contents of total sugar, crude protein and crude fat in walnut powder. The content of crude fiber in irradiated walnut powder increased, but not significantly. The irradiation had barely change on the contents of the lauric acid and myristic acid, and non-significant effects on the contents of palmitic acid, palmitoleic acid, stearic acid, leinoleic acid, arachidic acid and linolenic Acid. However, the irradiation contributed to significant increase in the content of oleic acid with the irradiation dose. When irradiation dose reached 8.0kGy, the content of oleic acid had an increase of 4.3%. Irradiation will not change the sensory index of walnut powder much when irradiation dose is lower than 8.0kGy.

Methods Six weeks old male Fischer 344 rats (F344) were used as donors, and six weeks old male F344alb as recipients. All F344alb were divided into 4 groups: group Ⅰ(n=10) was untreated; group Ⅱ(n=10) was treated with CCl4 but no γ-irradiation and transplantation; group Ⅲ(n=10) was transplanted with 1×10^7 BMCs after γ-irradiation, but without CCl4 treatment; group Ⅳ(n=10) was transplanted with 1×10^7 BMCs after γ-irradiation, with CCl4 treatment. The BMCs prepared from the donors were infused via the penial veins of recipients immediately after whole body γ-irradiation (7.5Gy) and CCl4 treatment: 4 weeks after BMCs transplantation, CCl4 were injected into peritoneal cavity twice a week for 4 weeks.

The results showed that there were differences among treatments in transformation of high quality gene(Glu\|D 1 5+10) in F 1 grains, and heterozygous type was more frequently appeared in the treatment of irradiation. In the F 2 segregative population, heading date deviated to early\|mature parent in the treatment of reciperocal cross and its combination with irradiation, indicating that cytoplasm and irradiation could promote the heading. In F 3 the expressive frequency of (5+10) gene in the cross was lower than that in reciperocal cross, and irradiation treatment could raise the expressive frequency of(5+10) gene. These results showed varience in different crosses.

The study result of microwave irradiation enhanced coagulation process show that the process of irradiating with microwave firstly and then with coagulation is more efficiency to treat oil-containing wastewater than that with coagulation firstly and then with microwave, and when dying wastewater and landfill leachate are treated with microwave irradiation and coagulation process simultaneously, the treatment effects will become better. The study result of microwave irradiation enhanced Fenton oxidation process shows that, no matter what oil-containing wastewater, printing and dying wastewater and landfill leachate, better treatment effect will be achieved with microwave irradiation firstly and then with Fenton oxidation process, with which organic substance and chromaticity can be removed easily.
