The interaction between vertical and horizontal parts for the bacterial content had significant difference. For the two isolates of HY3 and 93B which were screened out at last,their activities of the cellulase were: 1.955ug/ and 1.288ug/ respectively, and had significant difference; the activities of pectase were: 1.325 ug/and 1.24ug/ respectively, and had no significant difference. The content of EPS extracted from the two isolates of HY3 and 93B was very different: 7.08x10-8ug/cell and 5.17x10-8ug/cell.

METHODS: Inhibition of syncytia formation, HIV-1 reverse transcriptase and protease, protection of HIV-1 infected cells, level of HIV-1 p24 antigen,blockage of fusion were detected. RESULTS: A lignan compound, named rubrifloralignan A, was first isolated as a natural product with modest inhibition effects on syncytium formation and HIV- 1 replication and could protect HIV-1 infected cells with weak inhibition effects on fusion and RT, but it showed no effects on the replication of HIV-1 chronic H9 and PR. CONCLUSION: Rubrifloralignan A is an efficient anti-HIV-1 product with effect on early stage of HIV-1 replication.

A kind of virus particles were observed in cytoplasm of sampled ill sea cucumber tissues which were sampled from sick sea cucumbers with ulcerous skin and swollen mouth from their farming ponds at the beginning of 2005. The particles were covered with a bilayer envelops, shaped in globular with its size 100-200 nm in diameter. The same virus was isolated from cultured sea cucumbers with disease from different time and sites, and then infected the healthy sea cucumber. sea cucumber appeared the phenomenon such as ulcerous skin and swollen mouth and the same virus was isolated from infected sea cucumbers.
