The remainder is mixed with soda ash and roasted in a reverberating furnace. The sodium chromate can be obtained by leaching. Rough cupric oxide is dissolved in nitric acid and cupric nitrate is obtained. A new catalyst was prepared by the above sodium chromate and cupric nitrate and used in furfuryl alcohol production.
