Under consecutive irradiance and 14 h / 10 h light-darkness cycle, the effects of different gradients of irradiance on seed germination of Shorea wantianshuea, an endangered and rare species of dipterocarpaceae in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, were studied. Also, the effects of different temperatures on seed germination and storage were examined. Neither consecutive irradiance treatments nor periodic ones could improve the germination percentage.

Using four different Na_2CO_3 concentration as simulating alkaline stress,the relative alkali damage rate of rice germinative energy and germination rate at germination period,RADR of rice root length,seedling height and root number at early seedling stage were looked as evaluation indexes,so the alkaline stress concentration for evaluation of alkaline tolerance at germination period and early seedling stage in rice was studied.

The results indicate that Ca(superscript 2+) and GA3, single or combined application treatments, promote cucumber seed germination treated with P. harmala alkaloid, increase germination rate, germination vigor and index; as well as α-amylase, protease, lipase, isocitratelyase, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide kinase and Ca(superscript 2+)-ATPase activities; and GA and CaM content in cucumber seeds; but decrease abscisic acid content. The synergistic effects of combined Ca(superscript 2+) and GA3 on increasing GA and decreasing ABA are oberseved compared with Ca(superscript 2+) treatment.

结果表明，Ca(上标 2+)和GA3单一及复合处理可促进骆驼蓬生物碱处理的黄瓜种子的萌发，使黄瓜萌发率、发芽指数和活力指数提高，萌发种子的α-淀粉酶、蛋白酶、脂肪酶和异柠檬酸裂解酶活性及赤霉素和钙调素含量增加，烟酰胺腺嘌呤二核苷酸激酶和Ca(上标 2+)-ATP酶活性增强，脱落酸含量降低；且Ca(上标 2+)和GA3复合处理对GA含量的提高和ABA含量的降低与Ca(上标 2+)单一处理比较呈显著的加成作用。

The result of variance of analysis showed that the germination capacity of treatment in 15,18,19,23,24,were all higher than 85 percent.15 treatment was best from single direction of germination capacity and 18 and 23 were best both from germination capacity and sparing irrigation ,namely when holard was 20%-25%,irrigation was 60m~3/hm~2.(2) Pn showed single peak curve at different holard and irrigation.

Result In 5 kinds of chemical treatments, treating Z. macrostachya seeds with 20 % NaOH solution for 20 min and then cleaning the seeds with clear water got the best effect of breaking seed dormancy. By this treatment, the seed germination potential reached 83.5% in 10 d, being 58.2 % higher than CK; reached 85 % in 15 d, being 55 % higher than CK, which was near to the potential germination rate of Z. macrostachya seeds. Compared with CK, the germination duration was obviously shortened.

结果］在5种化学处理中，用浓度20%NaOH溶液处理大穗结缕草种子25min，再用清水清洗，对解除种子休眠效果最佳，10d发芽势达83.5%，比对照高出58.2百分点，15d发芽率达85%，比对照高出55.0百分点，已接近大穗结缕草种子的潜在发芽率，发芽历时比对照明显缩短。

To understand the adaptability and ion regulation mechanisms of Medicago sativa, Melilotus officinalis, and Astragalus adsurgens seeds at their germination stage to saline environment, the seeds were treated with different concentrations of NaCl, and their germination rate and recovery germination rate ere determined.
