A comparison of the degradation effectiveness of PVA by potassium ferrate, sodium hypo-chlorite and combination of them was studied. The effects of potassium ferrate and sodium hypochlorite dosage, oxidation time, initial concentration of PVA and pH on removal rate of PVA were explored.
