In the present study, we examined the large-scale gene expression profiles with six sets of matched clinical and experimental fluconazole susceptible and resistant C. albicans strains by microarray analysis. We observed that azole resistances developed in multiple circumstances are all associated with increased expression of CDR mRNA. We also identified some common differential expressed genes and some interesting function-linked gene groups involved in drug-resistance.
